Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

    PROJECT SNAPSHOT

  • Owner: MetroHealth Medical Systems
  • Completion dates: 1995
  • Cost(s): $5.2M
  • Square footage: 12,900 sq. feet

The MetroHealth Neonatal Intensive Care Unit was a multi phase which ultimately created (4) 6-bed bays, all visually connected.
In order to build the new NICU, while keeping the existing NICU in operation, a fully functional interim NICU was created on a different patient floor, still with access to the delivery suites. After the permanent NICU was opened the interim facility was then renovated into standard medical-surgical patient beds.
