The MetroHealth TreeHouse  is located on the fourth floor of the MetroHealth Medical Center as an extension of the Pediatrics unit.  It is designed for children and their families as a place to play outside of the hospital enhancing the child’s recovery.  Sunshine, plants, and a variety of interactive art pieces allow the children  to play year round in a simulated outdoor environment.

A path leads inside the TreeHouse through a garden gate which marks the entrance. In one corner is an interactive picnic tree complete with chairs and tree stumps to sit on.  A castle sand box and plan area complete with a movable dragon comprise The Leprechaun Village.  A fountain pool provides “hands-on” entertainment as well as comforting sights and sounds from the connecting waterfall.
