The goal for this unit was to integrate the resident rooms and the therapy areas on the same floor.

The patient rooms were modernized and refinished to create a more residential feel, including the addition of arched openings into each room, and the remodeling of the bathroom, some of which were enlarged to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Other patient rooms were combined to form large physical therapy and occupational therapy spaces with  nurse stations. 

A new Activities for Daily Living kitchen and bathroom allow for retraining in familiar surroundings, including a residential washer and dryer.
